Abstract

Background: Neuropathy Disease is a complication of DM type 2. The risk of Neuropathy Disease using measurement of the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) can be treated using non-pharmacological therapies, FM and WWB therapy. This study analyzed the comparative of Foot Massage and Warm Water Bath on Neuropathy Disease in type 2 DM patients at dr. Didik Sulasmono clinic in 2023. Method: This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-post test design with a control group of 16 respondents and an accidental sampling technique using the Independent t-test from SPSS 16. Result: The results of this study before and after doing FM and WWB showed that the therapy WWB group was more effective than the FM group with a value of 0.17. This study used the Independent t-test with SPSS 16.0 for Windows and obtained a p-value of 0.000 (α <0.05), meaning that Ha is accepted. That means a significant difference exists between FM and WWB Therapy for Neuropathy Disease in type 2 DM patients at dr. Didik Sulasmono clinic 2023. Conclusion: A low ABI score in type 2 DM patients is a problem that must be addressed immediately because it is a complication of Neuropathy Disease. Non-pharmacological therapy is an alternative that can be chosen by giving FM therapy and WWB. So that can reduce the risk of Neuropathy Disease in type 2 DM patients.
